The Strohm Foundation with the support of An Garda Síochána and Kylemore Abbey launched a new range of specially captured images of the iconic Irish landmark, Kylemore Abbey. The collection aims to raise essential funds for Children’s Health Foundation, supporting their ongoing paediatric cancer research efforts.
The Strohm Foundation, an American-based charity, works alongside global police services to support fundraising initiatives for children’s cancer charities. This collaboration with Children’s Health Foundation began when Strohm Foundation member and retired Canadian Police Officer, Rob Hagarty, embarked on a photographic journey across Ireland, capturing landmarks and landscapes such as Kylemore Abbey. Inspired by the Abbey’s breathtaking scenery and its international significance, Rob decided to use his passion for photography for a good cause and sought the support of An Garda Síochána and Children’s Health Ireland to help raise awareness of this fund-raising initiative. Fionnuala O’Leary, CEO, Children’s Health Foundation, expressed her delight at the partnership, saying; "We are thrilled to partner with the Strohm Foundation on this wonderful initiative. The funds raised through the sale of these beautiful prints will directly support paediatric cancer research, helping us to improve the lives of children undergoing cancer treatment. Every contribution is a step closer to making a real difference in the lives of the little patients in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres, and we are deeply grateful for the generosity of all those involved." The stunning collection of images showcases Kylemore Abbey from unique and captivating angles, highlighting the grandeur of the castle building, the meticulously restored Victorian Walled Garden, and the breathtaking neo-Gothic Church. The photographs also capture the vast, untouched beauty of the Connemara landscape, which surrounds these historic landmarks. President of The Strohm Foundation, Patricia Manzo, praised the launch, saying; "We are excited and inspired by this unique initiative. By working with the historic Kylemore Abbey, An Garda Siochana, and the world class Children’s Health Foundation, we expand our list of socially responsible collaborators, we add another police agency to the ranks of our supporters, and we bring on board another research partner in the fight against paediatric cancer." The prints will be available for purchase at the Kylemore Abbey Craft & Design Store as well as on kylemoreabbey.com. Proceeds from every sale will directly benefit Children’s Health Foundation’s ongoing efforts in the fight against paediatric cancer.
