Cohen Children’s Medical Center and The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research at Northwell Health are proud to partner with the newly established Strohm Foundation to fund cancer research. The Strohm Foundation evolved from the grass roots The Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation which primarily focused on funding breast cancer research.

The Strohm Foundation supports research into all forms of the disease at the finest institutions in the world, including Long Island’s own Northwell Health Feinstein Institutes and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. At Northwell Health, discovery is at the heart of everything they do. The steadfast focus on delivering groundbreaking medical research to further the Feinstein Institutes’ mission of curing disease and saving precious lives is in perfect alignment with the Strohm Foundation’s pursuit of a cancer-free world.
Ed Strohm, the Strohm Foundation’s Executive Director, says “In keeping with our mission of funding cancer research at world class facilities, we are proud of our strong relationship with Northwell/Cohen Children’s Medical Center. We look forward to continuing our work together to build a healthier world for all.”

This sentiment was echoed by Dr. Jeffrey Lipton, Chief, Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation, adding “advancements in pediatric cancer research are made possible in large part through partnerships with foundations who understand the role research plays. I am grateful to the Strohm Foundation’s support of pediatric cancer research at The Feinstein Institutes and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. The Strohm Foundation’s commitment to supporting the brightest scientific minds across the globe matches Northwell’s efforts in growing our international recognition as a collaborative hub for discovery.”

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH Charity) is privileged to continue working closely with the newly established Strohm Foundation after our positive partnership with its grassroots organization, the Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation, to fund cancer research.

Paediatric cancer research is a key area of focus at GOSH Charity as we aim to transform cancer treatment and care for children and their families too. With our plans to build a brand-new Children's Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital with increased access to clinical trials, we will continue facilitating groundbreaking research into paediatric cancer to discover the cures of tomorrow.

The support of the Strohm Foundation is enabling GOSH Charity to realize our collective ambitions for cancer research.

"We share the Strohm Foundation's belief in research without frontiers: that the way to beat cancer is to harness the finest scientific minds across the globe, and we are honoured to be in partnership with the Foundation," says Louise Parkes, CEO, GOSH Charity.

Edward J. Strohm, Executive Director, the Strohm Foundation, adds, "It is a point of pride to have added Great Ormond Street Hospital to our world-wide network of premier research facilities. The pioneering medical research we will help support at GOSH Charity will advance the borders of medical science thus improving health outcomes globally."
